🌟 Student Spotlight: Meet Fable! 🌟

📚 Favorite Class:

Fable’s favorite class is English because she loves the subject matter and her teacher. She meets weekly with her English teacher to review the week’s assignments and can easily schedule meetings with her other teachers when she needs.

🏡 A Day in the Life:

Because Fable is completing two grades (7th and 8th) in one year, she starts her school day around 6:00 AM and typically finishes by 4:00 PM. She typically works from her desk at home, but loves being able to go to work with her mom and complete her schoolwork there! She doesn’t need a lot of equipment – her daily tools include her Chromebook, ELA and Math notebooks, headphones, a document camera, and plenty of pencils and highlighters. Thanks to the flexible schedule, Fable has been able to keep up with her mental health and maintain a positive outlook while getting ahead in school!

🎉 Staying Connected:

Even in a virtual setting, Fable enjoys being part of the school community and has attended HCVS Science Labs and Field Trips, giving her opportunities to connect with other students.

👨‍👩‍👧 From Fable’s Family:

“The time it takes to get work done was a pleasant surprise that has kept us returning to HCVS for years now. Kids are able to do their work quickly if they choose, and can then adventure into things that interest them beyond the classroom, with virtual school they have the time to do that.

It gives more flexibility which helps to avoid missed days due to illness and we are able to travel to a lot more places than we would otherwise, with brick and mortar schools. Which allows for more time as a family even with extra curricular activities.

Virtual school has helped give Fable a self driven attitude towards her school work, which will help her complete and stay on top of her more rigorous high school work.”

Flexible learning. Challenging academics. Supportive teachers.

That’s what makes Hamilton County Virtual School such a great place for students to learn and grow.
