HCVS Families,
The first day of school for students is Wednesday, 8/5. Courses will be loaded for students on this date. HCVS adjusts the official start date of our courses so we can have our Student and New Parent Orientation days first.
The timeline below outlines the beginning of our year.
Wednesday, 8/5-1st day of school
Friday, 8/7-HCS in-service, no school
Monday, 8/10-Elementary Orientation, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tuesday, 8/11-Middle School Orientation, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Wednesday, 8/12-High School Orientation, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Thursday, 8/13-New Parent Orientation, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Thursday, 8/13-Course start date set
The work completed on 8/5-8/13 puts the student ahead of their pacing guides.
New Student Days/Orientation-All invited, required for new students
For elementary and middle, all students (new or returning) are requested to attend. We also recommend 8th graders moving to 9th grade attend also.
Any new student who attends the Orientation Day will be given a HCVS backpack filled with school supplies.
We will also issue chromebooks at the New Parent/Student Orientation days.
