HCVS Students and Families,
HCS Benchmark testing is December 10-19. Teachers should be sending testing schedules and procedures soon.
Our HCVS Winter Social is scheduled for Thursday, 12/18! Students can join us for movies, games, crafts, and snacks. Ugly sweaters and other holiday accessories are welcomed. This will run from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

If you love pets and want to help! Here is an Art Contest to benefit the Humane Educational Society (HES) in Chattanooga.
1) Go to https://www.heschatt.org/adopt to choose a pet to draw using the assigned Art Theme! Make sure to write down the pet’s name (from the website) and your name and grade on the back of your project!
2) Use the Art Theme inspired by Etta James’ “At Last, My Love has Come Along.” (link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qJU8G7gR_g)
3) Deadline to bring your art to Hillcrest for Mrs. Clark is on Monday, December 15th. Mrs. Clark will take it to the HES.
4) Winning age groups are grades 3-5, 6-9, and 9-12.
5) Winning artwork will be framed and auctioned to raise funds to help animals at HES! Other artworks will be available for purchase through donations! You don’t have to win to help!
6) Artwork can be made with any art supplies and any size as long as it can be framed!
7) Winning student and family will receive 4 tickets to the Faux Fur Fest at the Signal on February 14th @ 6 pm. Read more here: https://www.heschatt.org/fauxfurfest
